Larry Charles Halper our beloved husband, father, and “Boppa” sadly passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74. Larry was born on October 19, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois. He loved his Chicago Cubs and turned his family into Cubs fans for life! He moved to Holiday Utah with his family at the age of 13, that is where he met his wife Care, the girl next door. They were married for 52 years. Larry had two amazing sons, Justin (Kelly) and Jared (Ashley) and seven beautiful grandchildren. Larry graduated from the University of Utah in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. In 1977 Larry landed his dream job as a Special Agent with the US Treasury Department where he served for 29+ years. Larry loved his job and couldn’t wait to get up every morning to go to work. He was an exceptional Agent and received many awards. The best years of his career were spent as a member of the CID Task Force in Las Vegas, Nevada. After retiring he became a successful Private Investigator. In 2012 Larry and Care moved back to Utah to retire with family and most importantly their grandchildren. “Boppa” will be dearly missed.
